snow

Due to the snow, on January 13th 2011 your father didn't have to go into work. So our little family had a day of play. We bundled both of you up in your snow clothes, which took about 30 minutes, and went outside in the snow. After snow adventures we took a hot bath, napped and then watched Toy Story III.

Savannah your coat was so tight that you could hardly move your arms. We didn't have any snow pants for you so you ware 3 different pants. We also put mittens on your hands, which didn't last long!

Micah, your only coat was huge on you. Your hands came midway down the arm, so we didn't have to put gloves on you. After we zipped up the coat, your little head was the only thing that stuck out. You looked so uncomfortable and you couldn't move your head.

But you both loved the snow!!! Well, you both never cried, but you never smiled either. I think you were both so surprised, that this white, puffy stuff was cold. After taking pictures and video both of your little noses and cheeks were red. We therefore came in and took a hot bath.

After the bath, we (mom too) all took a nap and then ended the day with dinner and a movie. The movie was Toy Story III and both of you were really engaged for the first 30 minutes. There was this one part in the movie were Andy's dog falls over. Right when that happened, Micah laughed!!! You laughed during your first movie. It was priceless.

2 Peas in a POD

I really do have 2 peas in a pod. And they are the cutest ever!!

holding hands

Every Friday your Mommy goes to the gym really early for a class. Today we were running a little late so I quickly feed you both and placed you on my pillow. I then went downstairs to eat a quick breakfast and warm up the car. When I came back in the room I witnessed the cutest thing ever!! Savannah, you had a hold of Micah hands with interlocked fingers. You were both staring at your fingers with wide eyes and moving your hands up and down. As I went to pick up Savannah, your fingers stayed locked with Micah's. You both didn't want to let go of each other. It was the cutest and sweetest thing ever.

How you sleep

Savannah you are such a funny sleeper. First off, you ALWAYS twist your head around and then stick your chin up and your head back. You then sleep like that. Daddy and I think it looks so uncomfortable, but you love it. You also always have to sleep with the blanket over your head. Somehow you manage to always pull the blankets up over your head. If I move the blanket down... it's back up over your face next time I check on you. Your hands get cold during the night, so we not put socks on them while you sleep. And you still manage to place that blanket over your head.

Micah you sleep spread eagle. Both of you arms are in 90 degree angles along with your legs. It looks so uncomfortable, but you love it! You also love to sleep with a blanket over your face. But you love to fall asleep with your teddy bear. When I place you into bed, I give you your bear. You will wrap both arms around your bear and smile. Then when I check on you you are spread eagle, the bear is somewhere on the side of the crib, and the blanket is over you face.

Daddy and I laugh inside when we check on you both. You are the cutest sleepers ever. Yes, you both still share a crib. The doctor said to have you share a crib until you start hurting each other. I don't see that happening for a long time.

fun times

Over the break we also took you both out for stroller rides in the cold-brezzy air. We also took you to the gym a couple of times as well as the library.

Over the break Daddy didn't shave. So Sunday night he had fun shaving it in funny designs. And Micah started in with the fun. You both had some good fater-son bonding time.

Playing at home with mom and dad

You both came home on Christmas day. And Daddy didn't have to go back to work until January 3rd so.... we had a full, fun, and crazy week together.
You both went swimming for your first time ever. Neither of you cried. But you didn't really make an expression either. After about 30 minutes of swimming we noticed that Savannah's lips were a little blue. Then we noticed that Micah was showing small shivers. But neither of you cried!! As soon as we realized that you were cold, we all took a long, warm shower in the family bathroom. Then we used a hair blow dryer to warm you and got you dressed in your PJ's. But you were both so cute in your little swimsuits.
