Your first road trip

April, 27th 2011 you both went on your first road trip ever. And you both did a great job! You did a great because you both love car-rides and looking out the window. We left for St. Louis around 9:00 in the morning and only had to make one stop. Savannah kept crying and so we pulled over to feed. By 2:00 we made it to St. Louis and stayed with Uncle Scott's sister, Davina. Davina has 2 babies that are both 4 years old. Her children had fun playing with you both, and you both loved the attention.

That night Mommy and Daddy went on a date to the temple and you both were baby-sat by Davina. Then on Saturday morning we woke up to rain. It was kind of a gloomy day, but we didn't let that bother us. We took you to your first ever Easter-Egg hunt. Micah you loved the Easter-Bunny, and Savannah you loved the plastic eggs. You both found one plastic egg and held onto it for the rest of the day.

Micah, you truly loved the Easter-Bunny. In fact you love any animal. So, you had a blast when we went to the St. Louis Zoo. You kicked your little feet and moved your arms around the cages. Savannah you just wanted to cuddle with Mommy, but you loved the giraffes. An orangutan fell in love with Micah and gave him a kiss through the window. We had a blast at the Zoo!

The next day was Easter along with your Daddy's birthday. Mommy helped Savannah find her Easter basket and Daddy helped Micah find his basket. The Easter Bunny gave both of you a new stuffed bunny and he gave us parents candy. You both liked your bunnies, but I think you like the baskets more!! We then dressed you both up in your yellow Easter outfits and went to church. After church we had a nice ham dinner and you did too!!! We ran out of canned baby food, so you both ate smashed up pees and ham. And you loved it. Happy Easter to you.

You are famous babies

The other day we went to the library and you were both so cute that the librarian took your pictures. Then today I found out that you are famous. You are both currently on our library's web page. I feel so honored to have my babies as roll models for reading.
The webside is attached below.

Savannah's new dress

One of the new things Mommy likes to do is be crafty. I have had 3 bow parties in the last couple of months. Then last week I had girls over to make pillow-cae-dresses. Savannah and Ella (our neighbor) ended up with matching dresses. They had fun being twins for the day.
Then on Sunday Savannah ware her pillow-case-dress and mommy wore her pillow-case-skirt. We had a lot of fun being twins!!!

Dear Savannah

April 13, 2011

Dear Savannah,

I want you to know that I love you. You are my little girl and I am so blessed to be your mother. When you were smaller you loved to be active. You didn't liked to be cuddled, you wanted to look around and explore. But now you love cuddles. You always want to be held, and only by Mommy (or Daddy)! You won't go to anyone else. It's funny because you will smile at strangers, but you won't let anyone else hold you! You are a pure Mommy's girl. And I kind of like it. Because I really do love holding you and having you place your little arms around me.

Savannah, you and your brother are miracle babies. There were many people praying for you daily. I prayed for you to come into our family and then prayed every night that you would make it into the world safely. I know you were supposed to come into our family. You are full of life. You have such a sweet spirit. You have a spunky personality. Your smile is contagious. You make Daddy and I so happy. I love you very much and look forward to our many memories together. It will be so much fun having girl nights, and girl talks. I am so happy that you are my daughter.

Letter to Micah

April 13, 2011

Dear Micah,

I wanted to write you a letter and let you know how much I love you. You are such a sweet young man with a special spirit. You have been an easy baby to raise because you are always so content and kind. You will let anyone hold you and play with you. If I put you on the floor to play, you will stay there. When a movie is playing, you watch it. During meal time, you eat what I give you. You truly are a good baby. If you want Daddy or I to hold you you put your arms up towards us and make the sounds, "Da-Da-Da". Words to describe you would be; gentile, loving, patience, and chill.

Micah I love you so much. I love holding you in my arms and having your little arms around my neck. I love watching to play and watching you sleep. I love coming home from a run or sub job and seeing to reach for me. I love being your mother. We prayed and prayed for you to come into our family. You really are a special spirit. I know you will be a big help to your sister, your Father and I. Your are going to make the best missionary and Eagle Scout. I look forward to a full life with you.

Love your Mother

Good Weather

April has been a fun month at our house due to the weather being so nice. And you two LOVE being outside. I know this because you both love to look out the windows. Both of you will be really cranky inside, and then as soon as I take you outdoors your mood changes. It doesn't matter what we do outside; you just love being outdoors.
When we do take you outdoors there are 3 main outings that we do.
#1 You both love the swings. Daddy pushes you really high and you are smiles the whole time. It doesn't matter if you share a swing or get your own, you both smile ear to ear.

#2 You both love going for walks. Sometimes you go for walks in the stroller and sometime we borrow a wagon. Either way both of you love it. Normally I will put you in the stroller and stroll down to the library. I will then let you each pick out a children's books or video (well I pick it out for you). We also stroll to QT were Mommy will get a smoothie, and we all get to drink it! Wagon rides are normally taken around the town homes. Many times our friends will join in on the ride. You both love your rides.
#3 You both love lounging in the grass. When the weather is nice I will lay out a blanket with toys and place you on it. You both love to lay on your bellies and feel the grass underneath you. Mommy ties to read next to you but normally we all just play together.

Your first Bon Fire

A couple of weeks ago you babies went to your first bon-fire ever. And you both LOVED the fire. Both of you watched and watched the fire with you big eyes. I couldn't tell if you loved the heat or the look of the fire. Either way, you both stayed up WAY past your bedtime and didn't even get cranky. One of our neighbors brought 2 little chairs that we sat you in. You two sat in these chairs and watched the fire like it was a Baby Einstein video. It was so cute. Daddy and I think that you will both love camping when you are older..

Stat at home Daddy

A lot has happened in our family over the past couple of weeks. The biggest news is that our famliy will be moving to Largo, Flordia!! Your father will be starting his residency in internal medician at Largo Medical Center. We never thougth we would live that far from home, but we also never thought Daddy would be doing internal medician. The "Match" has made us realize that God knows what is best for our family. I am sure we are all going to love Largo (including the 2 of you) but it is going to be a big change for our family.

The month of April is your fathers vacation month. I wish we were going on a vacation but instead I am going to subsitute teach so we can make money for our move. This means that Leif is going to be the stay-at-home Daddy while I go to work every day. I was really worried at first that Leif would have a hard time staying home with you both but on the first day Daddy stayed home with you both, he said, "Our babies are so good, so it was easy." I glad you were both so good for Daddy, because now I can sub almost every day. Most days when I come home your father will give me a full account of your day. Most days you all eat, watch baby einstein, sleep, and play. Daddy loves playing with you both and you both love him too.

How you eat

You both eat solid food 4 times a day; breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. Both of you enjoy eating and get excited when it's food time. Micah, you move your arms and legs with excitment each time I place you in your high chair. Savannah, your mouth opens up wide as soon as you are placed in the high chair.

You both normally eat rice-cereal and yougert for breakfast. Squash, peas, and meat are eaten for lunch. For snack you eat a fruit with cracker, and dinner is sweet potatoes, carrots, and a meat.
Savannah you love food. I know this because your mouth will open so wide. You say, "Uh Uh Uh" inbetween each spoonfull and I literally have to shovel the food into your mouth. As soon as you are full, your mouth is gluded shut. It is so cute.
Micah you love milk more then solid foods, and you love fruit more then veggies. You are a really picky eater and I noramlly have to give you a spoonfull of fruit inbetween each spoonful of veggies. You will not eat meat and gag everytime I give meat to you. Your favorite foods are pears, and peaches. In fact you will continue to open your mouth for fruit, you never stop eating like your siter. One of your new favorite things is eating slices of appels or whole crackers.

How you sleep

Every night you are both put to bed on opposite sides of the crib. Micah in placed with his head in the bottom, left corner and Savannah is placed with her head in the top, right corner of the crib. And every night Savannah moves herself over to Micah so you are both sleeping side-by-side.
This happens each night because Savannah rolls over to her stomach and then inches her way to Micah's side of the crib. Almost every morning your 2 little bodies are touching. One night we found Savannah wide awake with her arms over Micah stomach. You both truly have a connection.

You also are becoming very smart and have found out how to get Mommy's attention. Savannah, you will roll onto your belly, pull down the bumper and stick your little head in between the bars on the crib. You then cry or talk until someone comes into the room.
Micah, you don't like being on your tummy so you do the opposite of sister. You will roll over the bumper and then lift it up!! You then push your face up against the bars on the crib and talk or cry with Savannah. Micah in bed Savannah in bed
Can you see the both of them NOT sleeping!!!!

Micah gets his Helmet

March 30th was a special day for Micah. You got your helmet!!! Our appointment was early in the morning and it was a beautiful day. The doctor brought in your helmet and introduced it to you. He played pick-a-bo with you and the helmet and let you play with it. Micah, you loved the helmet!! You held it and brought it to your mouth (but you do that with everything).

The helmet was then placed on your head and you kept looking up, trying to look at the helmet. I then put you in front of the mirror and let you observe your new helmet. The doctor said that the helmet will become a part of you. Most children that have helmets feel naked without it on. As of now you don't mine wearing it. And you are so so cute in it.
