Your Daddy's hours seem to be getting longer at the hospital. And it feels like he is working more days in a roll. I love it when he gets a day off, but he is normally so tired and wants to rest or take it easy. He leaves before you both wake up and comes home when you are already in bed. He therefore doesn't get to see eithor of you until he has a day off (or you wake up at night). When Daddy comes home I tell him all about our day. But talking isn't the same as seeing, so I have been taking video for Daddy to see.
I have been staying home with you both and enjoy it most of the time. Micah & Savannah you both give me so much joy. I love your smiles, laughs, cuddles and hugs. I am thankful for the opportunity to stay home and teach you, but do fine it challenging. I am not going to lie, it is hard work picking up after you, feeding you, changing you, and making sure you don't hurt eachother. I get board a lot of the times. But it is times like these videos that I smile and love my job. Enjoy watching!
I love my dancing babies.

No more Helmet
July 17th, 2011 was a special day for Micah. It was the day you got your helmet off. Your head has improved from having a 18 mm difference to a 4 mm difference. The doctor in Kansas City said to keep it on until us parents are comfortable with how your head looks. And your Daddy and I think you look handsome. You looked so cute with your helmet on, but you look even better with if off.
Helmet on
Helmet off
If took you a couple of days to get use to the helmet being off. You continue you hit your head with your hands and you continue to hit your head on tables, floors, and walls.
what a round head

Savannah has a tooth
My dear little Savannah is getting so big. You are now 13 months old, and just got your first tooth. You have always been a good eater (even without teeth) but now you will enjoy eating so much more. You love anything that Mommy is eating! Any food that Savannah doesn't like, you will throw off your tray. Any food you do like you will make yummy noises as you eats them. Your most resent discovery is to pain her tray with any baby food that falls onto her tray. And Mr. Micah does whatever his sister does, so you can only imagine how our kitchen looks.
yes that is Micah's hand on Savannah's face, trying to craw over her.
They also like to feed Mommy their finger food.

A huge UPDATE
Babies, I have been so bad at updating YOUR special blog. I really wanted this to be a special blog where I would write cute stories about you both. I wanted to write you both letters and tell you both how much I love you. But I feel all I ever do now is copy and past what I have written on our family blog. Copying posts from our family blog is a good way to document the events that happen in our lives, but it doesn't show my feelings for you or stories from day to day.
So here goes an update as of July 16th, 2011.
Savannah Jeanne Kanooth you are so kind and thoughtful. You love your Mommy & Daddy so much. Whenever Daddy comes home you will reach out your arms for him. After he holds you for a while, you will then reach back for Mommy. You will then stay with Mommy for a while and reach for Daddy again. This little games goes on-and-on until we put you down. Daddy and I have talked about it and think it is your way of saying that you love us both equally.
Savannah you love to cuddle. When you are in a cuddle mood, I place you on my belly. You wrap your feet around my wast and place your head on my chest. And then you stay there and let Mommy rub your back. You love cuddle time at night and when you are tired. Some nights you will cry and we take you into our crib. You will lay in between Daddy and I and take turns cuddling with each of us. You are so cute at sharing your time between parents.
Savannah you are a flirt. You love to look at yourself in the mirror and love to get your hair down. I will place you in front of the mirror as I do your hair and you just smile at yourself. After your hair is in a pig-tail with a bow, you smile so big at your reflection and sometimes giggle. Strangers will notice your cute smile and talk to you. You smile at all strangers and wave your arms. BUT as soon as they try to touch your hands you reach for Mommy. ( I guess that is a good thing)
Savannah you are the cutest eater. You LOVE your yogurt, peas, bread, and puff. But when you are full OR don't want anymore food... you shut your lips, and shake your head no. It is great, because I always know when you are done. You also enjoy playing with food but in a funny way. You dip your fingers in the liquid food and then suck your fingers. You will also pull apart the already small bread into smaller pieces to eat them. And you love love love your Pedisure. Your arms will flare and you will start to bounce every time I bring our the Pedisure bottle.
Savannah you are the boss. I don't know how you do it, but Micah has become your little shadow. You will say some baby talk and then craw into another room, and right behind you comes Micah. If for some reason he doesn't follow you... you will craw back, say more baby talk and wait for him to follow you. You also want every toy that Micah has, and you will normally take his toys from him (although he is now starting to take them back). You therefore have stated to love playing with Micah toy cars. But you play with them so differently. You will put the car to your ear and pretend it is a phone.... and start talking with it on your ear. Micah and you play so well together. I know you love your brother very much.
Savannah you are sweet, sweet, sweet. You love to bring your pink blanket around with you everywhere. You love to talk on Mommy's phone. You love to read books with Mommy and turn every page forwards and backwards. You love your primary music that Mommy plays for you. You say Mommy and Daddy to the right people. You make your parents so happy, and we love you so so much. You are now are sweet Savannah.
Micah Maughan Kanooth you are sweet, sweet, sweet. I love your laugh. I love your smile. I love how you love to be thrown in the air. I love it when you are tired and will cuddle with Mommy. I love how you love your trucks and cars. I love to Micah Maughan.
One of the things I love the most about you is that you can entertain yourself so easily.... all you need is a ball or truck!! You will pick up a ball, throw it, crawl to it, pick it up again, throw it, crawl to it and continue this routine for a whole one hour. You also love your cars and trucks. When you find a truck/car you will stroll it all over the house. You crawl with the truck under one hand, find an empty spot in the room, roll the car back and forth and then crawl to another spot in the room with your truck in rolling right along with you. You are such a boy... we love it!
Micah you have turned into an awesome eater. You will try everything that I give you and if you don't like it... you just throw it off your tray. Recently you have started to eat sun-flower seeds and raisins. And you love to feed yourself! But your most favorite thing is cereal. You will grab a handful of Cheerios and try to eat them out of your hand... by the time I open your little fist the Cheerios are all mushy! You also love to drink out of Mommy's water bottles and cups. And you always get water all over. All-in-all you are a pretty messy eater!
You have the cutest laugh ever. It makes me want to laugh every time I hear it. And you laugh so easil. You are a very happy baby. Things that make you laugh might be; Savannah following you, Mommy dancing, being thrown in the air, looking out the window, going swimming, taking a bath, having a ball thrown at you, and lots more. When you laugh you little teeth stick out and your smile widens. You somehow wrinkle your nose and just look so cute.
Micah, you are sweet, sweet, sweet. You never cry and you never complain. I know if you DO cry that something is really wrong! But onece Mommy picks you up you are all-happy again. Mommy loves to cuddle with you, but you only want to cuddle if you are in a towell or very tired. So I take ever opportunity I can get. You make Mommy and Daddy so happy. You really are an easy baby to raise, because you are such a peacemaker with such an easy going personaliy. We are so thankful that you came into our family. We love you.

You are Florida Babies!!!!!!
Today your daddy officially started his residency at Largo Med. I am now trying to get myself and the two of you on a routine. but the last 2 weeks have felt like a vacation. It has been so nice having Daddy home. Over the last two weeks we have gone to the beach, parks, library, gardens, turtle farm, temple, shopping, biking, beach, beach, and did I mention the beach. It has been fun watching you both going from being scared of the ocean waves to crawling into them. It has been fun spending the evenings with Daddy swimming in our pool and watching movies late into the night. It has been fun taking mini-trip around our peninsula and getting to know the area. It has been fun just being together as a family.
There is this really neat park near our house with fake grass and tons of slides. you both loved playing together sitting on their tuffets.
We all drove to Orlando to visit the temple. We took turns watching the babies outside. It is so nice to have a temple less then 2 hours away. And it was a beautiful temple. Micah you got heat stroke and were from being outside for so long.
One day we went to the botanical gardens & then a turtle farm in Largo. They have 3 different gardens to go into. We then went to this park with tons of turtles. We bought food to feed them. I must say that feeding turtles is way better then feeding ducks. Micah you ate the turtle food and Savannah you loved looking at them eat.
Costco in now our favorite store. They not only have the best samples, but they have the best shopping carts! Micah & Savannah you lobe sitting together up front. You both also love the Largo library with a huge play area for children. In the play area they have a huge kitchen area for the girls. Both of you liked the shopping carts their size.
Mommy sure does love hanging out with you babbies and cuddeling with you. Mommy sure does love the both of you.
Our family loves the beach. I don't need to say anything more.
Micah you are pure boy. you love the water and loves to splash. You also love to be buried in the sand, dig sand, throw sand, & eat sand. You get so excited when he sees the beach. Your arms will start moving and he makes cute nosies. I have a feeling you are going to be my swimmer.
Savannah you didn't like the beach at first. You wouldn't touch the sand and preferred to be under the umbrella. After a couple of visits.... you changed. Now you will crawl right into the water and have the waves cover her. You will eat sea-shells, and loves to lay on the sand. I have a feeling you are going to be a beach bum.
At the end of our two weeks this is what we found. Playing at the beach is hard work.... you two got tired out!!

Moving
You babies got to exsperience your first move along with 24 hour road trip. Daddy and I were really worried about driving with you both for so long.... but you guys did great. Yes, we had to make a lot more stops then normal, but after each stop you guys were fine. When we stopped Mommy would pull out a blanket and place it on the grass. We would let you both craw around, change your diapers, and give you both a snack.
Mommy dove with you in the car and got to hear you both playing with eachother for the whole 24 hours of driving. There was this one time in the car where I heard Micah start to laugh. I looked back and saw Savannah with her blanket over her face. Savannah then pulled the blanket down and made noises. Micah laughed. Savannah put the blanket up again and pulled it down. Micah laughed again. You were playing pic-a-bo with eachother. This is when I became very thankful that I had twins who have learned to entertain eachother.

Then you both got to help Mom and Dad un-pack our things and set up our new home. You both had a very hard ajustment to Florida. I believe you took it harder then both your parents. Both of you became very clingy and cried easily. You both didn't like to be left alone.
