St. Patties Day

March 17th was an exciting day for our family. First, Daddy picked a program to do residency in Largo, Florida. We will be moving in June and are really looking forward to the sunshine. Second, you babies help celebrate St. Patties day by wearing green and eating green food all day (peas and green beans). We went to Loose Park with our friends and you both go to feed the ducks for the first time ever. You both enjoyed strolling around the park and looking at all the fun people dressed in Green.
After the park we had dinner with our 4th year friends. All the food with Green. It was a good day.

Micah has teeth!!!

Micah you have 2 NEW teeth. With your new teeth you are willing and wanting to bit down on everything!! Your new favorite thing to eat are apples and bananas. You will chomp down on the banana till there is nothing left, and suck all the juice out of the apple. After every meal I give you a little slice of apple and you get so excited. Yet, I have to watch you careful because you will bit of a big piece and then cough. But you love to use your teeth and you are so cute when you smile.

Back together

On March 7 after almost 2 weeks of sleeping apart... you were both put back in your crib together. It had been a long time since you had been crib buddies and I was excited to see what would happen. Well, I put you both down for your 9:00 nap. When I came in 30 minutes later Savannah was wide awake and you were right next to Micah, holding his hand. Well, it would be more ture to say you were playing with his hand. It was so sweet.

You both went down for another nap around 1:00 and you wouldn't stop talking. Micah would say, "Da Da Da Da." Savannah would respond, "Ba Ba Ma Ma." And this conversation continued for almost 3 minutes untill you both fell asleep.

Then you both went down at 7:30p.m. When I went to get you in the morning you were laying side by side. During the night Savannah had rolled over to Micah and you guys were touching side by side.

I think all of this means that you really do love eachother.

Now Savannah is sick

Micah started to feel better by Sunday night. Then Monday morning Savannah woke up sick. You had a really bad runny nose and watery eyes. You then rub your nose with your hand and rub your watery eyes, so your little eyes are all snotty. You nose hasn't stopped dripping snot and you have a small fever. I know you don't feel good, but you still have a smile on your face. Savannah, all you want is your mommy and I am happy to hold you. It has not been a total of 7 days were we haven't left the house. Hopefully by the weekend our home will be normal again.

Micah is so sick

Thursday Feb. 24th Micah started to get a runny nose. Well, Micah you always seem to be sick so Mommy didn't think anything of it. Then the next day (Friday) you woke up with an even more runny nose, a deep cough, watery eyes, fever, and diarrhea. I was holding you next to your crib and Daddy was holding Savannah on the rocking chair. As I was standing you up I said to Leif, "I would much rather be sick than have Micah be sick." As I finished these words "BLAW" you threw up all over me. And from that point on you were in my arms for the rest of the day. You couldn't keep anything down and you didn't sleep for more than 30 minutes at a time. The only thing that would keep you calm is being rocked by Mommy.

Friday night Mommy and Daddy brought up the pack-and-play and we made Savannah sleep in it. This was the first time that the two of you haven't slept together. Savannah was so patience with her brother. She understood that he needed Mommy's attention and she did a great job of playing by herself most of the day.

Saturday Micah only got worse. You were coughing most the day, breathing really fast, congested in both nostrils, and wining when you weren't coughing. By now Daddy and Mommy were getting really worried that Micah had RSV and would have to go to the hospital. (2 of our friends babies went to the hospital with RSV).

By Sunday morning, you hadn't gotten worse but you hadn't gotten any better either. Daddy gave you a priesthood blessing before church and blessed your little immune system to fight off the infection. During church you took 2 naps and started drinking more. By the end of the day you were smiling and sitting up on your own.

Monday morning you were 100 times better and your cough was almost gone. Micah, the Lord is mindful of you. He knows who you are and loves you. He answered your parents prayers on your behalf. He knows how strong you are and won't give you trials that you can't handle. You Mother and Father have faith in the priesthood. And we know that your priesthood blessing helped you little body heal.

Your 9 month pictures

On Feburary 12th, on of my good friends came over to take your 9 month pictures. You have both just started to sit up on your own and have few accidents. So it was the perfect time to take some pictures. During the pictures Micah was all smiles. You loved getting your picture taken and were having so much fun. But Savannah didn't want to smile or frown. You were stright faced the whole time. We tried everything we could to get you to smile, but you just desided that you didn't want to. In the end all of the pictures turned out really cute. But that is only because you are both too cute.

Valentines Day

Valentines Day 2011 was also "Match Day" for Daddy. We found out that morning that Daddy didn't math into the field of orthopedics. Therefore Daddy was on the computer most of the morning trying to find on opening. It was a hard day for Daddy, but both of you were so helpful to him. Whenever he needed a hug, smile, or cuddle he would come upstairs and grab one of you. You both were just what he needed. You both were someone to love on.

For Valentines I wanted to tell you that I love you both so so so much. I am so blessed to be your mother, and to have you in my life. You two really are miracle babies and I thank Heavenly Father every day. He blessed me with the two most wonderful babies. And I thank him every night for the joy you bring into our lives.

I love everything about you both. I love holding you. I love feeding you. I love watching you play together. I love hearing your laugh. I love seeing your smiles. I love watching to bounce. I love your little cries. I love your cuddles. I love seeing you sleep. I love you both so much and don't know what I did to deserve such beautiful children.

BATH AND READING

Feb 9th was a big day in our home because.... you both can now take a bath sitting up!!!! This is a huge deal, because it means Daddy and I only have to give one bath instead of two!! Bath time used to take 10 minute per baby. Now that you share the tub and goes by so much faster. And you both love it!! Micah, you always have to be holding something in your hands. And Savannah you love to splash around. It is so so so cute watching you both.





At our last doctors appointment we were given a free book. Mommy picked out the book and then we went home to read it. I sat you both on your chair and gave you the book. For a little bit you were both sharing!!! It was so sweet. As I ran to get my camera, you both started to cry. So these pictures are because Mommy helped you share.


I really do have a cutest babies in the world. And I love you both so much. I love being your mother. I love taking you in public and showing you off. I love talking to strangers about you. I love watching to enteract with eachother and with me. I love it when you reach out for me and want me to hold you. I love feeding you and watching you smile. I love everything about you two. I love you.

Many Faces

I know I am your mother, but I really do believe you are the 2 cutest babies in the whole wide world.

Savannah you have the cutest smiles and dimples. You have figured out what a camera is and will smile whenever I bring it out. You love to laugh, you love to talk, and you love to smile.

Micah you always have a serious look on your face whenever I bring out the camera. It is as if you are trying to figure out what Mommy is doing. You too have the cutest smile and dimples. You love to play, you love to smile, and you love milk.

You are growing up

You are both growing up so FAST!!! As of Monday February 7th......

Savannah you are now 15 pounds 8 oz and 24 1/4 inches
long. You are sitting up on your own and grabbing everything you see. You love light up toys along with Mommy's cell phone. You love eating solids more than drinking milk and your favorite food is bananas. You open your mouth so wide when I feed you and then you make cute cooing nosies. Savannah, you love to be thrown in the air and tickled. You love to roll over and grab everything in sight (even if your brother is holding it) You love to look around at everything and have become my little observer. You love to look around at new things, and you are always interested in what everyone else is doing.

Micah you are now 15 pounds 10 oz and 24 3/8 inches long. You are now just learning to sit on you own and you respond to your name. You are my little milk drinker. You LOVE milk!! Whenever I hold out a bottle to you, your little hands reach for it and you get so excited. But you have trouble feeding yourself. The other day you were sucking on the bottom of the bottle crying with frustration because nothing was coming out!! You are a very sensitive little boy and you love mommy cuddles. You smile and kick your feet whenever mommy or daddy enters the room. You love to be held, you love to be cuddled but you are also very content with watching TV.

I took you both in to get your flew shots on Friday. The shots were given by a nurse and she said it was a small shot that wouldn't hurt either of you.

Savannah went first. The nurse pulled the needle out, mommy held your hands, and you were shot the top of your leg. A band-aid was placed over the shot and you never cried. What a big brave girl you were.

Today is February 4th. Your Grandma and Aunt Lairen leave tomorrow and they are very sad to be leaving you. While they where here visiting, you started doing something really cute. It might not sound cute, but it is....YOU FOUND YOUR HANDS.

One day Grandma looked over and there you were with your right hand in front of your face. You were twisting your hand back and forth. After a couple of seconds, you brought your hand to your mouth and stated to suck your thumb. Seconds later your left hand was then in front of your face and you were twisting it. Your eyes get so big and your face looks so serious every time you play with your hands. And you do it often. You now LOVE your little hands and will watch/play with them over any toy. We have been calling it "hand watching." It is the cutest thing ever.

Your hand and foot prints

Your mother got a really good idea to pant a canvas and then stamp your feet and hands. Since Grandma and Aunt Lairen were in town I found Feb 1st to the the perfect day (snow day). The canvases were panted and then we got you both dressed down to your diapers.

Micah went first. As soon as your foot was dipped into the black paint, you started to cry. You wouldn't cooperate as you cried, kicked, flung your arms and cried the whole time. I was surprised with how well your painting did turn out.

Savannah you watched your brother go first and must have learned, because you were a little angel. You didn't cry once and I think you enjoyed getting your hands and feet all messy. It was quite an adventure.

Grandma and Aunt Lairen come to visit

Your Grandma and Aunt Lairen came to visit you both. They came in on Friday January 30th and stayed for a whole week! They were both so excited to see you and spoiled you!! Daddy went to the airport as Mommy got you both ready to see your relatives. I made signs for you to hold and sat you up in your chairs. So when Lairen and Grandma came into our home you both were the first things they saw. And oh, how they loved on you.

Whenever one of you cried, you were picked up.
Whenever one of you smiled, you were played with.
Whenever one of you opened your mouth, you were feed.
Whenever we went to the store, you were bought a new item.
Whenever we went out, you were held.
Whenever we had free time, it was spent with you.

Your Aunt and Grandma love you both so much. Grandma hugged and hugged on you both. Lairen played and played with you both. Mommy was so happy they came to visit because she got some rest. It really was a wonderful trip.

Micah slept with Mom and Dad

January 28th we took both you and Savannah swimming at the YMCA. We had a lot of fun swimming and playing together. We then went to Costco and enjoyed our Friday together. The day was closing down as we were all at the dinner table eating. Leif and I ate enchiladas while you both had a jar full of carrots. Then poor little Micah threw up all over his high chair and himself. It was a lot of food for your little 14 pound body. As soon as the food came up, the cries started to come.

Mommy then gave Micah a nice, long, relaxing bath and put you in your Pajamas. The whole bath you were quite but as soon as we got out you stated to whimper. You felt hot, you looked sad and you wouldn't stop whimpering. I took you downstairs and Daddy took your temperature. It was 100.2 degrees and you felt really hot! We then put Savannah in the crib and brought you to our room. Because of your fever we let you sleep with Mommy and Daddy.

And you loved it! Micah, you turned your head from one side to the other and continued to look at both of us. You cuddled with Mommy and you smiled at Daddy. You were so happy to be in our bed. We finally all went to sleep around midnight, and by 5:00 a.m you were moved back to the crib. I don't know why... but your 14 pound little body moved around, made noises, wanted milk, and couldn't stay still ALL NIGHT.

The next morning your fever was gone and you were a lot happier. This was the first time and hopefully last time you got to sleep with your Mommy and Daddy.

snow

Due to the snow, on January 13th 2011 your father didn't have to go into work. So our little family had a day of play. We bundled both of you up in your snow clothes, which took about 30 minutes, and went outside in the snow. After snow adventures we took a hot bath, napped and then watched Toy Story III.

Savannah your coat was so tight that you could hardly move your arms. We didn't have any snow pants for you so you ware 3 different pants. We also put mittens on your hands, which didn't last long!

Micah, your only coat was huge on you. Your hands came midway down the arm, so we didn't have to put gloves on you. After we zipped up the coat, your little head was the only thing that stuck out. You looked so uncomfortable and you couldn't move your head.

But you both loved the snow!!! Well, you both never cried, but you never smiled either. I think you were both so surprised, that this white, puffy stuff was cold. After taking pictures and video both of your little noses and cheeks were red. We therefore came in and took a hot bath.

After the bath, we (mom too) all took a nap and then ended the day with dinner and a movie. The movie was Toy Story III and both of you were really engaged for the first 30 minutes. There was this one part in the movie were Andy's dog falls over. Right when that happened, Micah laughed!!! You laughed during your first movie. It was priceless.
